I have issues contacting the license server from time to time. This is especially true from the network inside our offices and less a problem in open networks. We enforce ZScaler inside and outside of the office. Anybody with same issues and hints to resolve this network issue, e.g. firewall requests and the like?

Excellent, thanks! I will check and solve with our IT team and update the post accordingly.

Update: The ZScaler whitelisting did the trick without additional proxy needs. Everything works fine.

Roland,

This is a well known issue and documented here. with the information below:

Important: the following domains must be whitelisted: https://hackolade.com,  https://quicklicensemanager.comhttps://qlmdr.com, and https://github.com/hackolade

Warning: if you have an HTTP proxy server on your network, you may have to manually set in the application the proxy parameters.  You will find more information on the Network Proxy page.  In particular, in environments with proxies using SSL inspection (Zscaler, BlueCoat, etc.) it is critical that Hackolade Studio be whitelisted to connect properly with SSL/TLS protocols.

Please ask your IT department to perform the whitelisting of our application so Zscaler would no longer alter the communication with our license server with SSL inspection messages, which is detected as as a tempering attempt.

If you have step-by-step instructions with screenshots of how to perform this whitelisting, it would greatly help us to enrich the documentation.
